Tri4Life Centenary Everest Challenge

The Challenge Begins

Liam Hanlon, Phil Walton, Martin Pritchard Howath and Steve Hayes all members of the Tri-4-Live Team led by Liam, are flying to Katmandu on 31st March 2022, changing planes and flying on to Lukla airport the gateway to the Himalayas to attempt to climb Mt Everest, returning the first week in June.

The lead Sherpa leading the attempt to climb Mt Everest is Sherpa Phurba, who has successfully accented Everest 13 times.


The attempt at the highest mountain in the world is to recognise its 100 years since the first offical attempt to climb Mt Everest by George Mallary who was only 24 years of age, also the 1953 successful attempt by Sir Edmund Hillary accompanied by Sherpa Tensing also the 1975 by Chris Bonnington, Doug Scott and Paul Braithwaite 

Liam is taking Rotary Clubs and Lion Clubs Pendants to exchange with Clubs in Katmandu.
